Year 6’s Class Trip to Weaver Hall

5th November 2018 by Abi Pratt

On Friday 2nd November, Year 6 visited Weaver Hall and had a fantastic day learning about Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. In the morning we worked with Doctor Roberston, learning all about Viking burials and what the items found in their graves could tell us about Vikings. We then got to create our own Viking statue in a similar style to Viking statues found in graves. In the afternoon we got to meet Olaf Olafson and learn all about day-to-day Viking and Anglo-Saxon life, as well as experience a true Viking battle.
