School Curriculum

Curriculum Overview

At St Peter’s Catholic Primary School we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in Nursery and Reception and the National Curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2.

Our broad curriculum is carefully planned and presented in an interesting, exciting and imaginative manner with lots of opportunities for first-hand experience, practical work, investigation and learning through play. It is enlivened and enriched by visits and visitors. The basics are taught well and the creative aspects are central to our work.

In Key Stages 1 and 2 topics are taught in a two year cycle.

The school follows the National Framework for both Numeracy and Literacy.
